The Harmful Puff

"AND PROHIBITED THEM FROM AL-MUNKAR (ALL THINGS EVIL) AND
THIS PROHIBITED BY ISLAM." Surah Al-Araaf 157
"Every intoxicant is haraam and everything of
which a large amount intoxicants, even a small amount is haraam."
Abu Dawud
"The Messenger of Allah prohibited every
intoxicant and sedative." Abu Dawud
Physicians and others
who have knowledge in this issue have confirmed that
smoking is detrimental to one's health, they also consider it a
drug, and a
sedative and all things that are harmful are prohibited in Islam, as
stated
in the above hadith.
It is also a waste and excessiveness, for it
does not contain any
permissible benefit, nor is it devoid of harm.
Tobacco is made from botonomical family of
plants some poisonous, like
henbone. It comprises of potassuim and ammonium salts and nicotine.
It is utilized in different ways.
1. By
chewing it in the mouth, and this is the most harmful and
detestable. Its analgenic effects are then strong its poisonous
substances
are quickly absorbed through the intentines and have a heavy effect
on the
nervous system.
2. By
inhaling it along with other stimilants, because it companies
various poisonous substances it is harmful as well.
3. By
burning and smoking it, the most common of which is cigarettes,
though it is also smoked through pipes and water pipes.
In all of these
methods the smoke reaches the mouth in a state of high temperature .
IT'
S EFFECTS
It consituents first settle in the body, and then
it's harm gradually
become apparent over-time. When
it enters the mouth the poisonous
substances irritate the muscous membrane causing an increase of
saliva to
be secreted. It effects
the secrection of the stomach causing digestive
problems. When the
smoke reaches the lungs by way of the larynx, the
poisonous substances increase it secretion possibly leading to
chronic
inflammation. The
larynx, is irritated resulting in coughing, by which it
tries to dislodge the large amount of acccumulated secretion known
as
phlegm.
Smoking also causes disruption of the pulmonary
arteries and other
incurable diseases of the chest. Traces of the smoke (tar) are deposited
on the inside of the trachea decressing the inflow of oxygen, this
results
in shortness of breath.
Smoking causes dizziness, vertigo, headaches and
vomiting in those who are
trying it for the first time.
Its other effects are it causes flaccidity of the muscles and
dowiness, which are tantomount to sedation on
inherent property of tobacco by
concensus.
Exorbitance is smoking leads to death whether
over a period of time or
instansteouly.
"AND DO NOT CAST YOURSELVES INTO
DESTRUCTION WITH YOUR OWN HANDS." Surah
Al-Baqaarah 195
"AND DO NOT KILL YOURSELVES, VERILY ALLAH
IS TO YOU OVER-MERICUFUL." Nisaa

"And he prohibit them all al-khabaaith
(that which is obnoxious and disgusting" Al Araaf 157
It is incumbent upon those who are sincere to
themselves and give their
health true value that they turn to Allah in forgiveness, and make
resolution to seek help from Allah. Whoever
repents (from tobacco use)
Allah will inshallah help him and make it easy for him to accomplish
that
which he desires.
CONCULSION
1.It is khabeeth (vile and repulsive) and all
such things are unlawful to ingest since Allah has allowed only all
the good and wholesome food and
drink.
2. Allah
has forbidden one to kill oneself, and tobacco is a poison toxin
which intoxicants the mind and body and cases addiction leading to
death.
3. There
is no nutritious value to tobacco.
4. Tobbacco weakens the body whereas muslims are
ordered to become strong.
5. It
is not allowed to harm and annoy others whereas tobacco necessitates
the worst kind of harm and annoyance. It is vile and stinks
everything in
which its come in contact with. Muslim distinguish themselves by
perfumes
and pleasant odors.
6. Purchasing
tobacco is a waste of money and a squandering of resources.
Billions are wasted on its cultivation, production and distrubition
and
promotion.
"Verily the squanderer are the brothers
of the satan." Surah Al Asraa 26.
